Art assignment. Chalk pastel on construction paper. Received 94% as a mark. Submitted it into Fine Arts Night (art show type thing at my school) but didn't win anything (didn't think it would, lol)
If FAC didn't have such precise categories, I'd make you guess who this is of. It is supposed to be Pete Wentz. I don't really like this piece (anymore), but I think it's the best I've done, sadly. My camrea sucks, so the colour is a little off. Looks better in real life, of course lol.
Realism is the only form of art that I think I'm at least half decent at, so it's what I really want to work on.

Chalk on construction paper? Wow. :o I'd think the construction paper would rip easily. lol.Anyways, this is a really good picture. The different colors, shadings and highlights(Ones that I noticed) are phenomenal. :D Very, very awesome.

Thank you. : )Construction paper was a first for me, but I actually prefer to use it when working with chalk pastels now. I, too, was afraid of it ripping, but it surprisingly didn't. The construction paper I used was coloured brown and that actually helped blend into the skin tones and such so it worked out fairly well.
