MadamePenguinBeautiful skin color, but the background is a bit dull compared to her.

esevansYeah, wasn't as happy with the background. I have not painted anything in approximately 6 years. This is the 3rd most recent. I am trying to brush back up(pun intended.). I am hoping my work continues to grow the more I practice. :D

HoodieOh yeah. It's probably nothing like painting, but I actually do a good deal of work with pastels, especially oil pastels in real life. Monochromatic and semi-monochromatic pieces are ALWAYS the hardest haha.

Fantastic job :) your lines look really clean, too.

esevansThanks tons! :D

I have worked with pastels as well. The pastels are similar, but 1 of the biggest differences is the abilities to blend much easier in pastels. Love working with pastels and charcoal.

Acrylics tend to dry fast being water based. However, the colors seem brighter to me. :D

esevansThanks I think. Haha... This is actually my 2nd facial painting I have ever done. Her colors turned out well. The background did not turn out as well as I would have liked. :D
