Dirk Straun

Dirk Straun is a character from James Clavell's Tai-pan. It was a fantastic book and I enjoyed every minute of it. Clavell's characters really are brilliant and very life-like. He writes wonderful stories. They are, however, very long. Tai-pan is the second in a series of about six, I believe. They're all very long. I think Tai-pan was the second shortest at 732 pages (The shortest is 479.). However, they're definitely worth reading.

At any rate. This is Dirk Straun, the main character. He's such a larger-than-life character so I just had to draw him. Unfortunately, I can't do him justice, as I redid this picture thrice. Straun is 43, Scottish, bright green eyes, and red/copper hair I think. He's basically awesome.
