Description

She's Jeanne d'Arc, the Maiden of Orléans, the national heroine of France and saint of the Catholic Church.
In 1428,when she was only a fourteen years old girl,she claimed to hear the voice of God who gave her a mission: to save France. Her innocence and courage gained the confidence of several of the most important knights and soldiers of the French court. She accompanied the heir Charles VII to Reims to be crowned,and only beeing seventeen years old she lead an enormous army against the Englishmen and defeated them.
She had the most tragic end, she was burnt alive accused of being a witch and having demonic visions.

It makes me sad viewing this, because even though she was a hero, she died because people didn't want to believe her. ):

A magnificent picture, once again. It's as if she's come to the church in order to hear God's next plan. She looks either scared of what the future holds for her, or very proud to do it, that tear in her eye could mean anything (or maybe it's just a sparkle >o ). The light is gorgeous, it's like God's come down or has sent an angel again. Very beautiful. It gives me a faithful feel, and I love it.

this is amazing. you really did her amazing story justice. funny thing, though in some countries, shes known as joan or arc. i've done like 20 projects on her. its a great thing that someone took the time to draw her so well. good work.

This is truly amazing. The light sparkling in her hair is fantastic, and the fullness of her lips and eyes truly show that she is barely a woman, which I believe is an under-recognized part of the Jeanne
