he's 14 not 16, because naruto during the filler episodes was 12, then after the training with jairaya he turned 14...*swipes nose* yea, i know my naruto,lol...

I guess idk, but it takes him 2 1/2 years to finish training with Giraiya and return to Konoha, it's even referenced in the 1st episode
