The_Vampire_QueenAh yes. Isis, Mother of Horus. I actually seem to recall her having wings. I may have seen a statue of her with wings somewhere...

Anyways, this is a gorgeous drawing. I especially love the colors and the detail you put into the wings.

jiraStatutes and carvings of this heavenly goddess, depicted with wings comforting her son Horus are quite common in Egyptain depictions...

Black_BreezeI always thought that what Isis did to Ra was mean. I knew she did it in order for Horus, but come on. . . HE was an old man. Leave him alone. Nice depiction, but I don't remember Isis with wings. Heehee, she looks so alert. . . *favs*

jiraThank you for your insight! In another version, Isis was the cause of Ra's affliction! In any case, it's all good reading...

jiraMy commercial arts background has alot more to do with character presentations as most of them are more promo type artwork! But in the art feild you must dare to be different! It's true not everyone will like you, but the ones that matter will take notice...

KFelidaeI like the combination of good, solid, and bright colours in the foreground and pale colours in the background. They work quite well. Especially since purple cannot be found anywhere BUT in the pyramids.<br />

I love those wings, by the way. Very hard to draw them folded and not have them appear 2D.
