WEll, if you're wondering why I have a purple lion for a gift, it's simple. My friend (who is not on here) has a username that involves the words "violet lion" and the number 1994. We kind of use our usernames as nicknames (yes, I'm kitty to her), so I figured this would make a nice birthday gift.
I took a piece of wood and sanded it by hand for what seemed like a day but was really only about an hour. Then, while I was waiting for my woodburning pen to warm up, I sketched the lion on the wood. After it was burned, I used watercolor to color it and add my signature on the back. And there you go, one Violet Lion.
