Well, since we have had several 70-degree days where I'm at, I figured it was time for Kitty's (Aka my online representation of myself) twice-yearly update! (I give her long sleeves in winter and short in summer. I also tweak anything that's been bugging me, that sort of thing). So, introducing... a reference for the new Kitty!

Please note: When I draw her I will change the earrings to reflect whatever I'm wearing in real life. Otherwise, her default earrings are gold studs with a turquoise jewel. ^^

I decided to experiment a little with textures in this one. I had originally only planed to texture the wall, but the contrast with Kitty was too great, so I textured her too. I think it turned out okay. The combination of texture and cel shading is interesting... I might have to do this again sometime.

Anyway, I've talked your ears off long enough. Hope ya likey!

MrGimpThat suits her just fine! The earrings give it a lil something extra to her! I like what you did with the shading, you gotta teach me that! XP

Great pic as always!

kittyshootingstarAll I did was I did my lineart (This is all in Flash), then I took the pencil tool with a color that wasn't my lineart color and I drew in the boundaries where I wanted the shading to be, then used the bucket fill tool to color it in. Then, I selected the pencil tool lines and deleted them, one by one.
