After I bought the film 10,000 BC (on blu-ray) recently I wanted to have a try at drawing actress Camilla Belle, who stars in that film. After searching through a few dozen photos of her thrown up by google, I came across one I liked (link below). Once again, I'm afraid I haven't captured a very good likeness of Ms Belle (ho hum). Oh well. At least I tried!

Here's a link to the photo I found (it's a helluva long link btw) ... http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=camilla+belle&start=653&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1280&bih=858&tbm=isc...

ShadowMagic10,000BC is an awesome movie!!
Love the shading in this pic, but her eyes are a little off. Camilla as soft and babydoll like eyes. I have watched the movie 'Push' so many times and i love her experstions in it. i feel like sketching someone now, but who........Hmmmmmmmmmm

liggybirdThey sometimes do weird things with peoples' eyes in movies. In 10,000BC she's got blue eyes, whereas in reality I'm pretty sure they're brown. I also got her neck way too long.

In my defense, drawing this was a 'spur of the moment' kind of thing. Heck, come to think, I'm just thankful I didn't make a total hash of it!

I haven't seen 'Push', but now you mention it I'll have to keep a look out for the disc where I buy my blu-rays. Soft, babydoll eyes are frequently a 'deal-breaker' for me I must confess.

I also appreciate when actors/actresses are skilled at using facial expressions to good effect when playing their parts.

Can't really help you with suggesting who you might sketch Danielle. Not that there isn't shedloads of 'eye candy' to choose from. It's just that I'm thinking you'll probably want to draw a fella - ie, not a subject which inspires me a lot, lol.

Nice to hear from you again and thanks for the comment. xx
