This is the 2rd place prize for my "Create Your Own To-Do List" contest for K_Pepper. She is an ingenious fantasy artist. Go check out her gallery:

She wanted me to draw her Necromancer OC Devalin Darkwill summoning zombies/undead. This looks like a Star Trek poster. Why does all my extensive shading have to look like space? Funny thing is K_Pepper gave me constructive criticism on how my art over-detail made it hard to make anything out. Then I thought, "Oh fugh. My 2nd prize picture for her is super over-detail." ;-; Then I thought, "Oh well," and kept going. LOL, see the similar mindset from the last prize picture?

Sorry this took so long. I had to wait for the weekend to come before I could start drawing without studying getting in the way. Even now, I need to study homedawgh. It is the life of a nerd.

I drew the line-art with black ballpoint pen and then colored it with Open Canvas 1.1 (seriously, everyone needs to look into this awesome free painting program. It can rival SAI in my opinion).

Yes, my real art style is overly sketchy and overly detailed. ;-; I tend to criticize myself for the blast of messy penmanship. It does not work well with my comics, haha.

BTW, I have looked at your DA! You seem to have experience with comics as well! I always love talking to fellow comic makers! Making comics takes more skill and observance to gravity and other elements in movement. Are you still continuing comic making?

Jeebus I love this. The sketchiness and the colors clearly set the mood. And the splash of blues and voilets give the pic an oomph! Ah man on a side note im going through the same ordeal as you with school =\. Winter break and stuff ftw! 0_0...When it gets here at least... What a wonderful portrayal of Dev! I love the style you used in this. It's so detailed, but at the same time the undead look really cartooney it's just awesome! I also really adore the colours you added, it really adds to it! Epic spell effect, and great job!

I saw this on the recently posted art section, clicked it and thought,"WOW! Who is this stunning artist-*scrolls down* LUCKYLACE222?" The way the skin looks seems very different than your usual coloring and you don't usually draw alot of awesome creepy art.
lol It doesn't look like Star Trek at all.
