I have a horse character of my own, whoot!
Mestava's father is a once-domesticated Paso Fino. Her mother is a mustang with some quarter horse thrown in somewhere.
She hates mountain lions because when she was only about one year, one killed her youngest brother. Mestava sprang into action and killed the cat but earned three claw mark scars across her left flank.
