How in the WORLD did you do that "washed out" effect? Was it traditionally done or photoshopped? It looks great! You must have used up so much ink! O;

Thank you! I actually did all of this in Photoshop, so luckily I used no ink at all. I used several quick techniques to make the blurry, washy effect. After I made the black and white drawing on one layer, I used another layer to airbrush some white around them, then another layer where I added an up/down motion blur on the whiteness to create that streaky effect.

Thanks much! It was fun playing around with layer effects and filters to get this look down. It's the kind of look I've seen in a lot of recent anime and I wondered how I might emulate it.

Thank you, although I mainly stuck as closely to the character models as I could. I didn't want to risk making them unrecognizable or weird by putting too much of my own spin on them. They in particularly have really distinct face shapes so I didn't feel I could play around too much with that.

The expressions match them perfectly, and the lighting....wow. It feels as if im looking at a cover chapter shot from the manga. Well dones! Tite Kubo would be pleased. x3

I like a lot about Tite Kubo's style, there's a lot I can learn from it. He's not my favorite mangaka or anything, but his work is admirable, particularly his character designs.
