Description
This used to be an adoptable I sold, but.... I became attached to her and I compensated the buyer for returning the rights to her. So... my new character as of now and here she is. I didn't have shading before due to it being a adopt but I managed to do a pretty good touch-up and add shading through selecting areas and applying black to a layer in Gimp set to Darken Only at around 45% opacity.

Personality: Quite curious, usually happy, active very often, not one to take things too seriously
Likes: Freedom and fairness, inventing/repairing devices, ice cream, her retainer/maid/bestie
Hates: Discrimination against others, being restricted herself, spicy foods and sodas
Strength: Expert hoverboarder, mechanically gifted
Weakness: A bit hydrophobic

Lila comes from a distant future in which Pokémon populations are very scarce from overdevelopment and other human interferences, and in place, special Poké Balls containing holographic Pokémon AIs are now commonly used, utilizing more of the mechanics used in the main series RPGs, while also removing the risks of harm to the trainers as well as both public and private property damages. The company in charge of the programs and Holo Ball developments is a corporate superpower known as Galactica. Despite the introduction of Pokémon AIs, many smaller groups still try to help restore the old ways by preserving and protecting what few Pokémon remain, with little success as areas they operate in are somehow bought out by Galactica.
Lila herself was born into a wealthy household and sheltered for most of her childhood until she was 10, in which she begged to be allowed out in public. Her parents were objective about it as they looked down on those not in the same social class, but eventually gave in and permitted her the freedom she longed for. She currently attends a public high/Pokémon Trainer's school and joined a private club of Pokémon lovers hoping to work 'under the radar' to protect a small area still untouched by humans. When given free time, she's either casually zooming around with her custom built hoverboard Comet, or with her club playing around with the Pokémon in their secret hideout. At home, she spends a lot of time with one of her family's hired maids who was assigned personally for her, doing activities such as gaming out, chatting, battling with their Pokémon AIs, and even working on gadgets.
One night though, said area was stormed by a group of armed poachers and every Pokémon there was captured. Lila herself chased after them on her hoverboard to one of Galactica's many office branches, but failed to get in because the whole place was under super tight guard. What's worse was her club was being threatened with both shutting down and its members arrested for interfering with official company business. She tried to convince them to fight back, but they couldn't out of fear or being captured themselves. No one else would help either because of both legal matters involving Galactica, and that no one else would believe her.
With no one to turn to, Lila gets a mystery message from someone going by the name "M". Her curious nature leads her to open it, and with it came a mysterious AI codenamed "M" who tells her about what Galactica's really doing: Removing all Pokémon from the picture. It then wireless hacks into one of Lila's digital watches and uses it to lead her to an abandoned bunker underneath the city. There, the AI moves to the private bunker's network and uses equipment there to create a cybernetic suit for her to use, as well as mask her identity with an AR visor and holographic hair color. "M" does warn her that by accepting this, she is effectively becoming a terrorist in the eyes of the law, but she still agrees to infiltrate Galactica and free the captured Pokémon. Thus, her life as a renegade/vigilante by night began.
During her first mission, Lila, under her new codename "Liberator", found herself struggling to find where the captured Pokémon were until falling through a loose vent and landing on a large cage. Inside however she had found two Pokémon, a Riolu and a Pikachu. As she tried to free them, an alarm went off and one of Galactica's execs saw her as she opened the cage. It was life or death now as the exec pulled out a deadly energy weapon to dispatch of the intruder with. With no choice, they ran under they ended up cornered in another room. This room however was filled with caged Pokémon, frozen in fear due to armed explosives on the cages. Lila wanted to disarm them but couldn't without the controller for them. Just as she found it, the door was blown off and knocked her out. Her two Poké pals tried to help her get away but couldn't move her. Riolu tried to use its power to heal her but upon attempting, a burst of energy came from her and got her both free of the broken door. She came to, seeing a bright blue energy around her. Back to her senses, she quickly disarmed the bombs and instead re-armed them in front of her foe with the controller, blowing him away.
Back at base, she was ready to give up in fear of not surviving another battle, but "M" said that without her interference, many Pokémon would have been killed and made extinct. While this made her feel better a little, she still didn't want to risk her life again, or experience what happened to her. Given the description, "M" then told her a tale of a boy from ages past who saved the world many times by wielding the same power, the power that was Aura. "M" insisted that it train Lila to utilise her Aura as well as convince her to continue the fight against Galactica's operations. Lila took some time to decide and eventually decided to continue her secret life as "Liberator", with Riolu and Pikachu as her faithful partners. At one point though, Lila's retainer finds out about her secret and reluctantly agrees to both support her and cover for her in order to keep her secret from getting out. It was tough but the two manage to pull it off if it meant ending Galactica's plans for good.

When I'm more rested, I'll write up everything about her. I'll spoil this though: She exists separately from the rest of my characters, but within the same universe as them.
