Mat (Redesigned)

Didn't think I'd finally get to this. Redesigning my Pokéself. Well, here we are. Mat's back and sporting a now updated look for the Pokéverse that hopefully doesn't look too much like "generic main character". A lot of the design changes are IRL inspired since this was supposed to be based on myself, but back then, I never really thought to look in a mirror enough to really see myself.

Anyway, I want to go over the redesign details:

Body: Mostly IRL inspired, except this looks way better. I kept the way the hair looks bladed at the end though, but my hair does indeed curl forward like that. Skin is paler than it used to be from the old design.

Head: While I wanted to try to not look generic or reuse the previous eye style, I had used some different looks like Morty, Goh, or Paulo from Masters for inspiration, but after creating my PNGtuber look, I chose to incorporate it to this. Looks way better. With the hair, I chose to use my own hairline and bangs but mirrored.

"M" Quirk: Easy, his hairline makes an "M" shape now. Originally, it was in the fringe. Was going to try and do it similar but then I chose it to be in the hairline.

Outfit [Top]: Again, mostly IRL inspired. The top now consists of a sleeveless hoodie based on the one I actually have but with a navy blue color, which has black rims for the arms (which are hard to see, I admit) and around the bottom. The chest pockets are retained but are zip-up ones. Zipper is also black, mostly worn undone. The T-shirt underneath is black. Was thinking of adding a graphic or branding to it but decided against to not overdo things.

Outfit [Bottom]: A mix of the previous design with a more tame look, opting for a big stripe down the outer sides of each leg. Part of it was inspired by Brendan's Emerald design minus the pants underneath. The shorts were lengthed to be below-knee length, like court shorts I have. In fact, overall the clothing was made longer and larger due to current preferences. White high socks are retained from the original design.

Outfit [Shoes]: Literally the Luxury Loafers (White/Red) from Sw/Sh DLC. Loved them too much that I had to include them. Plus they're the most Sonic-like I've ever seen. How Mat gets them imported from Galar, I'm not saying. (Spoiler: The Black/Red ones will be for a later outfit design)

Misc.: Chose to give him a Quick Ball. It's easily my favorite kind of ball for obvious reasons. It was also introduced in Gen IV, which was when I had started with my Pokéself's creation.

Planned: One major addition for Gen V will be a bracer on his right arm instead of the bracelet. The scarf will happen too but toned down. A new outfit is planned for Gen VI and onward.

Pose is taken from something. Up to you to guess from what. Only hint is it's not a Sonic pose.
