Description

A mosaic i made in a workshop on Saturday. not bad for two hours including the tutorial, no?

I had to cut all the glass myself, so as you might guess, i stabbed myself a few times. Glass hurts. i didn't bleed though, it was weird. >.>

I think i was one out of like, 3 people that made a recognizable shape; everyone else made random patterns or designs and stuff.

My iPod decided to play "Dearly Beloved" (BbS version) while i was trying to figure out what to do, so.... I made a heart ^^

Oh wow, we did this in class recently too--except, we wore goggles and just smashed tiles XD. I was one of the few to make something in my class, as well... I made an abstract huntress =D

lol, niiiice. XD I like how the houtline of the heart was blue, instead of black, however, staring at it for a long time hurts my eyes.

Perhaps choosing an analogous color would have been a bit more pleasing to the eye, as it goes together, and the heart seems more hidden, and therefore, meaningful among the red. Perhaps purple, like the purple heart (a medal)?

it might've looked better, but i actually WANTED that contrast, since everybody else was going for the analogous color scheme. that, as i didn't feel like cutting more glass ^^;

But they went with analogous because it doesn't hurt people's eyes. ^^; Art is mostly about the time and effort put into the piece. Or... well... THEORY art is. >_>;
