Letting Go (Redo)

This is a redo of my old picture from 2006, "Letting Go".

At the time, I was struggling with the reality that my relationship with my best friend and girlfriend had been more detrimental to us both than anything else. I loved her more than I could say but all I knew was that we were hurting each other with fights and I couldn't take being her only support anymore.

At the time, I felt that the old picture expressed my feelings about this rather well but as I looked back on it, I felt the need to redo it and give it some of the real feelings that it needed. The expression on the brunette was something I changed because when I made the original, I hadn't know how my girlfriend was feeling so her face ended up more blank than anything else. This version incorporates some of the pain and frustration I know now that we were both feeling.
