Warhammer 40,000: Sticks and Stones

..won't break these bones. 44 hours of near constant battles and the armor has mere dents. Space Marines from the Blood Angels chapter decapitate some of the Orc's heads up on sharp sticks as a display of their ruthlessness and abilities. But also to scare whatever is left of the Orc's by sheer terror.

This Warhammer 40,000 painting displays a decapitated Orc-head on a sharp stick, and a Blood Angels Space Marine (who just put the head there) taking a look at his victim.

Photoshop 7 using mainly the airbrush. ~ 7 hours. No references used (though I did go through some images of Space Marines and Orcs to get an idea how they look like).
