Curtis was one unlucky klutz. He can't help but create one big accident after another. One day, he recieves a box with the letters 'HTF' written on it. Upon hearing a scream of pain from inside the box, he decided to open it, seeing what's going on in there. However, upon opening it, the Happy Tree Friends were released from their world and were scattered all over the city. But one Happy Tree Friend, Cuddles, didn't go that far after the box was opened because he suffered injury shortly before. Cuddles gestured to Curtis since that he was the one who unleashed the Happy Tree Friends from their world, he has to be the one to bring them back. Since the Tree Friends, outside their world, can fuse with humans, Curtis didn't go empty-handed. But Curtis has no idea the price to pay for fusing with a Happy Tree Friend...
