an origins of the name shouldn't matter that much, depending on your choice.

Amber's a fine name. I mean Dan is english, somewhat. At least she's not Katate Lilly or something. xD

You shouldn't rename her... its fine, your character is an OC so its you decision to name her. And Amber is fine ^^ Its very good by the way.
