Healer’s Touch

A very personal (and very green) painting of Faeren and a Healer character, who shall remain nameless. Whereas Faeren was condemned to solitude and a continual dependence on the Forest for his very existence, the Healer grants him a way of escape and the perilous chance at a new destiny.

My latest foray into realism, which consumed my life for the past few weeks, forced me to stay up nights and devote every spare moment between other projects to it. Heh, when an image grabs you and wants to be painted, you don’t dare refuse it for anything! XD Hopefully now I can get some sleep…heh. Many personal references were used for lighting and detail, and a lot of experimenting with overlaying colors and various brushes for the background.
