Jeremiah here (that's right, it's NOT McCrea...I fail at variating my onions. XD) is basically a modern day land pirate.

Anyway, this is the guy that Marie (McCrea's mommy) is thoroughly convinced is McCrea's dad. None can be sure though, because Marie was known to sleep around, and thus she can't pin it on him. Not that he can really deny it, those cold blue eyes came from somewhere! XD

He decided that he would have nothing further to do with Marie or his illegitimate son the day Marie had him framed for rape. He was publicly flogged for it, and Marie stood in the front laughing and forcing Cebolla to watch.

Ever since then, Jeremiah has become nonexistent to McCrea as well.

He needing mentioning non the less.

They DO have the same eyes. Do they ever meet (except when McCrea's forced to watch punishment?)

Good point. XD And yeah, they do, when McCrea's a teenager. Jeremiah still won't claim him, but kinda knows deep down inside enough to wanna help him.

But by then, McCrea's bitter and doesn't want anything to do with him.

How sad. Maybe McCrea wouldn't have ended so bitter if Jeremiah had been there for him.

Yeah, Marie isn't the most favorable of them. XD And I think McCrea would win. He's younger, crazier, and then Jeremiah is just generally a nice guy believe it or not. XD
