...this would be them. You know, if Skremengeor wasn't so busy making an @$$ out of himself. XD

See, Skremengeor and Messenger where created via alchemy, or more so mad science with a touch of magic. It went something like taking human embryos and combining them magically with shadow extract. But the how is not important right now. It's more about the why...

They were originally made with the intent of starting an army of shadow beings. Instead of creating dozen from scratch, their creator decided to take the old Adam and Eve route by making a male and a female and going from there.

Unfortunately, when combining the embryos with whatever magic and such, a mental link was created, and the two became bonded for life by it. No matter how far away one is from the other, they will always be able to hone in on each other and know each others thoughts, feelings, whereabouts, and the sort.

Feeling trapped by the responsibility and pushed over the edge by not being able to escape each other for even a second, this ended up driving the two apart rather than making them fall in love.

They now have a horribly complicated relationship and must choose to overcome all the odds or let their species die. It's hard being a shadow being. =/
