The Witch of the Waste from the book "Howl's moving Castle"
I loved the movie when I saw it, and I still would pick it over the novel...the book disappointed me. =(
But I liked how the author portrayed the Witch of the Waste. She was an unmovable character until she dies, whereas the Witch in the movie ends up old and helpless. Very un-witch-like.
"The shop bell clanged, and the grandest customer she had ever seen sailed in..."
