Wow, when was the last time I drew on paper? Anyway, I'm poor so I don't have a scanner. (Lies, I could've stolen my dad's.) But my sketchbook is 11 in. x 14 in. which means I couldn't scan it anyway because it's fracking enormous. So guess who thought it would be a good idea to use a phone instead to take a crappy quality picture and color with a damn mouse in Photoshop? Hence, there's speckles of noise everywhere.

Tools of trade:
- Photoshop CS5.1
- Pencil
- Phone camera
- Mouse
Time: Son....just don't.

By the way, I don't think I'll ever want to draw her again because she's one of those characters where people can't draw her consistently, so EVERY SINGLE REFERENCE I USED, THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT (especially her wacky underwear part,) AND I COULDN'T PINPOINT WHICH PART WAS OFFICIAL OR NOT. LIKE GEEZUS GUYS, HELP A SOY OUT.

Somehow, the pencil work adds to the pixelated look! Nice job@ I especially like the small pixelated green/blue boxes humping her thighs and fingers!

Really? 'Cause that was totally intentional. Yup, yup, I totally planed this out. And who wouldn't want to hump her thighs and fingers? I know lines and circles and triangles just waiting for their turn. xD

aahhhh! I think this looks so damn cool! I love all the specks on the page, it adds a sweet texture. and this is some damn impressive work for colouring with a mouse. I know how you must feel when it comes to finding a reference for her. every piece I've ever seen of her is different in one way or the other, haha. even if you don't draw her again, you should do more drawings like this. I think they look really cool and I wish I could pull off amazing colouring on a poorly taken picture of a traditional sketch. >v<

Thank you! Haha, I guess the speckles worked out after all then. Yeah, I think some artists couldn't find references either and just started making up stuff half way through. I think I will! :D It's a lot easier to draw with paper than on the tablet. I only did this because I lost my tablet pen a few weeks back, but now that my replacement for it came in, I think I can outline it on SAI and clean it up a bit. And pfff, your coloring is pretty awesome in itself! Not a lot of things look good with just base colors, but you pull it off magnificiently! xD

Quite nice and intriguing image... Other than trying to catch a good photo of large pieces of artwork, I find that scanning 11”x14” into two separate sections (11”x7”) than cut and pasting them together on a larger template via PhotoShop can work quite well...

Thanks! That's a great idea actually! The only problem is, it's from a page in my sketchbook, and I'm not a big fan of ripping out pages from it. Haha, thank you for the advice though! I'd be sure to keep that in mind next time I decide to work with large paper again.

Surprisingly good quality for a cell phone pic! I'm stuck using a digital camera lately, myself. Best trick for photographing artwork is direct sunlight. Anyway, love the flowing hair!

Haha, thank you! I had to use some stuff on Photoshop that I didn't even know existed to get the picture to be colorable. @_@ Ooh, thanks for the tip! I'll try that next time. :D Haha, maybe it'll turn out to be better than this pencil dusted mess.
