I dont think I have anything to tell you about how to use Photoshop.... VERY cool shadings! You added contrast with the outline and colors, which is very good.But for the linework, there are many different ways to make them look good and you probably want to get ride of that crispy edge all aroun your character. For that, I usually do the line art with artist pens (if I want a "comic" style and do all in black), or I just scan the sketch work, and then do the linework with the Pen tool in Photoshop.
