Description
This image haunted me for years after reading the the second installment of "His Dark Materials". It illustrates the grief, pain and confusion the hero "Will Parry" confronts with the knowledge that he is now the bearer of The Subtle Knife. My son Keith was used as a model and to help me capture the foreshortening technique I employed in this vision.
