It's okay, I wasn't too confused. The reptilian skin is an interesting touch, not something I'd have ever thought of.

My characters don't really get redone much. I figure I do it slowly and it gradually shows up in my pictures, I'm generally pretty laid back about how my characters look.

It wasn't by Wacom. It was by Genius. Apparently it's one of the best tablets you can own, if you manage to get a working model. My mother was reading product comments about it yesterday and one person had to buy three or four before he managed to get one that worked. We exchanged it today. I've got a Wacom Bamboo now. It's a lot smaller than the other one 4x6 as opposed to 6x8, but it works, so I'm happy.

Really, I think it's good to take a few steps back and alter characters. I think it shows that you put a lot of thought and effort into their creation.

I've heard that tablets tend to make things like hair a lot easier. I got one for Christmas, but unfortunately it's got a defect and doesn't work.

Yeah, going back and altering the characters is all right and all, but I still can't believe how many times I did it. I mean, damn! But now, I'm relaxing a lot more, and I'm starting on new characters now.

Your tablet was a defect. Man, that sucks. I hope you can get it fixed. Was it a Wacom? I hear those are the most reliable. I have an Intuos3, which is from Wacom. I wanted a Cintiq, but it's way too expensive.

If so many people ask you for requests, then I agree that you decided to stop it. I'd get a little pissed, too. I never have time (or the life), so I've only accepted, like, two requests in my lifetime.

I have a friend who wants me to draw her characters for her, but I...kinda don't want to. This is AFTER I've done some work for another someone, and got paid for it. It feels a little odd now, doing work for someone without getting paid. I mean, I know I'm no professional yet, but... I dunno. It just doesn't seem fair to the person who actually paid me. Hopefully I'll find a solution to this. If I'm forced to work hard without receiving anything in return, I won't work as hard. It's the cold, sad truth.

She´s from Tekken-series, introduced in Tekken 4. Her fighting style is capoeira. :D Just try altavista´s or google´s image search with "christie tekken" or so if you want pics.

Thank you, though I haven't done watercolor pics in ages, I got a CorelPaint recently and I'm trying to get the knack of it. I have never been a FF fan, though (I played 5, 6, 7 and 8, but that's just cuz I'm addicted :P). I just don't know what do people see so wonderful in it. I think the characters are liveless, distant, non lovable, while in other games (Suikoden 2, Breath of Fire 3) you get to love the charas almost at first glance. I played each about 2 times, while I've played Legend of Legaia about a dozen (and those I mentioned earlier, even more).

You're right that FF doesn't have that many characters that catch one's eye. If you want me to judge by personality, I really don't think any of them qualify as likeable:(

I only like Barret from FF7. I dunno why, he just makes me laugh^^ We need more black people in these games. Haha! I dunno, judging by this site, I'd say most girls find FF great because they think the male leads are hot. It sorta drives me nuts sometimes...

And don't feel weird; I play games more than once, too;) Just for kicks, I guess. And yeah, Legend of Legaia was and has always been one of the best^^

Well, they are good looking, but that's not a reason why the series should be so popular. There are several charas out there that are good looking and they don't have a bit of the popularity of FF ones. Like "Ryu" from BoF2, or, keeping at it, Vahn and Serge. Do you see much artwork from any other game that's not FF? Beh, I better stop the rant or it'll go on forever ^_^;
I don't have anything more modern than the PSX, but I'm currently playing the classics from SNES. I loved Secret of Evermore, and I'm currently hooked up with Terranigma. And I've always been a fan of the Seiken Densetsu(Secret of Mana)saga. Despite the very good graphics for SNES but quaint now, those RPGs were lots of fun!

lol! Yeah, I liked Serge a lot looks-wise. It killed me, knowing he couldn't talk or anything. The game itself was interesting, but I personally didn't like how there were SO many characters to choose from. And no matter which of those characters you choose, they just say the same lines as everyone else...only with a different accent or whatever.

But yeah, there are more charas out there than just the guys from FF. There are too many of them on this site. Personally I find most of the guys dorky, especially Tidus from FF10. Oh well, at least Squall is funny when he's not trying to be. I didn't quite understand why his "depression" was relevant to the story. I mean, everyone else who grew up with him seemed happy enough. I dunno...

Secret of Evermore and Terranigma... They sound familiar, but I don't think I've ever played them. Are they RPGs, too? I still have my PS2 (since my 40GB PS3 isn't backwards compatible. Maybe I'll give those games a shot, too.

Have you played anything from the Metal Gear Solid series, mainly the third one? It's amazing.

Well, I like Xbox for their first-person shooters, and the Ps3 for their RPGs. But the Xbox is more my brother's, and the Ps3's is mine. For PS3, I might buy the game Folklore, but I'll download the demo first to see if it's worth buying.

The only thing I know about the whole HD thing is that PS3 is meant for an HD TV, but you need to buy a separate plug specially for the HD... Somethin' like that. I personally don't have an HD yet but maybe I'll get one soon or next winter, when prices will go down even more.

Most of the games i want for PS3 aren't out yet, but the coupon I used was close to expiring, so I really had no time to wait.

I seriously want Metal Gear Solid 4, Devil May Cry 4, Final Fantasy 13, and the remake of Final Fantasy 7. I have other games on my list, too^^

Well, I meant hard drive or hard disc with HD, and yeah, it has HDTV connector to be used with new widescreen LCD´s and plasma´s. :D And well, I want PS3 too, mostly for Tekken 6... It´s coming out next year I think. ^_^

I have armageddon for PS2. The fatality system is kinda cool actually, it should just work more accurately, sometimes it just wont work and fatality fails... : / And gameplay has been pretty slow overall in every 3D MK, if you compare it to Tekken for example. I love Tekken by the way! But I think it´s okay game overall, if you can get it cheap, you should probably try. ^_^

Hehhee, well I haven´t played DOA that much at all, mostly because I have Playstation 2, and I had the original Playstation too, and Tekken 3 on it... :D Well, my favorites from Tekken are Asuka Kazama, King and Nina and Anna Williams.

Eh, no big. I loved Sub-Zero ever since I was a kid. I even got all hyped when I saw him in the MK movies from way back when. Maybe if the graphics for the games were better, then I would have played MK more. Nowadays, I've been hooked on Dragonball Z Budokai for the Wii. lol!

The last MK game I played was Deadly Alliance. For some reason, I was hooked on the character Nitara (vampire chick.) I dunno if she's in Armageddon, but it looks like they brought everyone except Liu back. I never played Armageddon, but I saw the intro and it was tite^^

Cool, I want to get a tablet sometime, I'm hoping for Christmas, though I'll be getting a somewhat steady income since I recently started a part-time job.

I'm short and flexible. It really annoys all of my tall friends when I can bend down and put my palms flat against the floor. Or when I can stretch out and put my head on my knee. It's all I'm good at in gym.

Well, if you want to check out Renderosity, the only weird thing is that you have to log in first, or else you won't be able to check out any of the art. That's probably the only BS thing. So, when I send links to my friend, the site blocks them. But I'm tellin' ya, the art there is really something, and I get all of my support from the artists there.

The tablet I got from online cost me $278. But if you wanna buy the type that's for only hobbyist artists, those are much cheaper. If it weren't for that tablet, then the pics in my gallery wouldn't even exist.

Oh, you're welcome! You know me; I like to stop by periodically, whether the art is new or not. Yeah, Shadow Hearts 3 is an RPG game, and a very good one in my opinion. It has a unique battle system, and the characters are likable in my opinion.

When I feel like I really suck and hearing my mother tell me I'm actually good doesn't help, I just go back through my gallery so I can see how much I've improved. Good luck with that! I'm sure your friend will love it.

Hmm, I should look into that one. I'm always up for having somewhere I can get more feedback for my work. I mostly do fanart though, as I'm sure you're aware, do they allow that on Renderosity?

Your gallery is pretty small at the moment. You just have to re-establish yourself. Then you'll probably start getting more attention.

Heh, I was working when everyone was coming to the door, so I didn't have to deal with any of that. I had to be at school by 8:30 today. Well, I should probably get going, got to have a shower before bed and it's already 10:13.

Oh yeah, Renderosity allows everything. Fanart and anime is welcome, too. Most of the people on that site are 3d-modelers, but there's a lotta 2d stuff, too^^ Sometimes the people on that site can be TOO nice, so if you want critique, you're might have to request it in your description when you submit the pic. Photography and photomanipulations are allowed, too. I'm still FinalCross31 on that site.

Haha! Now my kitty's demanding attention as I type. Anyway, I actually thought I would leave this site forever, but then I decided to come back so I could chat with some friends, and maybe give my new gallery a try. I recently bought a Wacom tablet; no more tangling with the mouse^^

Well, I have long legs. I remember my gym teacher said I had "dancers' legs." But unfortunately I had trouble touching my toes and what not. I'm really not very flexible. lol!

Yeah, it's really a futile effort. If they're going to harass other people about their art, they might as well make sure that their own meets their standards. I mean it's wrong to go around complaining about other people's art anyway, but when they don't have a basis to complain on, it's even worse.
What's up with deleteing two of your pics? Did you already decide to revamp them?

Nope, the pic has already been revised and completed. It's the newest one. The previous two pics were just previous versions of that. I didn't want my gallery to look repetitive, (as someone called out to me earlier), so I just decided to leave on the final piece. So, no more revisions; but this time, it wasn't really the character I was picky about; it was the background.
