Hello MAGGOTS!!! My name is Joseph Buehrer and if you don't know who I am then good for you! The deeper you get inside my head the harder it's going to be to get out so I won't bore you with any miniscule details about myself and just cut right to the chase.

I've been drawing ever since First grade and I'm finally starting to get really good at it, but still not good enough! I'm 18 years old, and I'm a Senior at St. Francis de Sales High School in Toledo but I live in Michigan. "Where exactly do I live in MI?" Yeah you would like to know that you sick perverted freak! Well anyway I basically spend most of my time playing guitar, drawing, listening to music, writing, hanging out with my friends, and basically a whole bunch of other meaningless sh*t. I decided this year that I really hate Biology and instead of going into stem cell research and be stuck in a lab all day I decided that I'd prefer a job where I'm outside or in front of a crowd, so I decided to major environmental science for college and minor in music. That way I could either go into forestry or play in a successful heavy metal band, which ever comes first lol! ^-^

Music is a big part of my life. If I didn't have my CDs I'd probably kill myself, lol! Anyway I'll basically listen to anything, but my two favorite genres are Heavy Metal and Classical Music. My favorite bands are too many to list so I'll just tell you the top five. God Forbid (YEAH! THRASH METAL!!!), Lamb of God (Saw them at Headliners recently! FUCKING AWESOME!!!), Tony Iommi of Balck Sabbath (Come on let's face it, Tony Iommi is BLACK SABBATH!), Slipknot, and my friends' band Diesection (http://www.myspace.com/diesection1), my favorite composers are Beethoven, Mozart, and Bach. Who doesn't love Beethoven honestly? I'm in a band myself, it's called Heaven's Fade (http://www.myspace.com/heaven39sfade), check us out sometime if you get the chance. We have one song so far. It's just me playing the opening riff to one of our songs on guitar. It's only 48 seconds long and the timing is off but I still think it's sweet. We also have a video online. It's just me again playing the exact same thing lol, but it's still awesome cause the timing is a little better and you actually get to see how fast I am on the guitar, which is awesome cause even I didn't know I was that fast lol! So here's the deal concerning my art. I mainly just do sketches with the occasional charcoal drawing. Sometimes I paint but not often, only when it's convenient. Now I know there are a lot of rules when it comes to posting comments on this site such as no flaming other people’s work but I honestly don’t care! Look people I’m aspiring to be better at drawing and I can’t do that if you say that everything I do is great thus making me satisfied with where I am as an artist and dooming me to diminish my skills. In other words, “If you honestly believe that something I do is a piece of crap I want to know about it, and don’t hold back!” Say it’s the worst thing you’ve ever seen in your life for all I care, I don’t mind. I recognize that my work has its flaws and that’s why I’m trying to get better. So please just be honest with me and tell me how I can improve, especially if your one of those artists who can make drawings that look like black and white photographs.
