Well I know it's hard to focus on it like that, but that's how you learn when you're a baby, so it's still like an uber good way to learn supposedly, except that that's the way that the whole age thing applies to.

idk, if I could get a few people to join with me it might be really cool, it's just that otherwise, probably not, seems like. I wish I could consider my spanish class to be like a family, but they just don't care about the language at all. I feel really stuck up for looking down on them so much, but none of them are very good at it at all, and they don't really care, especially a few in particular, whose orals actually make the class break up in laughter at their mistakes in grammar and pronunciation. So yeah, you're right, we're not very close. I feel really alienated in there.

What's Charter, an electricity company or something? Well that sucks, but at least you had CoM. Fun game, that. Monotonous, but funner than most on gameboy.

I feel your pain! So your friends aren't going to college? Man, that stinks. I would hate to have to deal with that kind of atmosphere at school. Here even the stupid kids go to college (My mom was talking about this earlier. She said that like 94% of kids who graduate from my high school do)

Too many times in real life I can't think quite fast enough when the pressure is on or come up with a brilliant comeback later. On the computer it's easy >:3

True true. But I think that's mostly only that true for learning via osmosis (as in just listening to learn. Ha! I quoted "via osmosis" and it applied!! lawl), maybe not so much for actually being taught. I really don't think I would've been able to learn it this well when I was younger.

Hm, that's odd. It's sounds like it'd have a specific purpose. My school has a spanish club (might join next year), just not that, but apparently it doesn't matter...? It seems like it'd be for scholarships or something, but then again, I'm sure way too many ppl here know how to speak spanish for anyone higher up to actually care >.>

No, everyone hates the teacher and everyone (that I know of) loves me for standing up to her. She's not just some teacher or I wouldn't be this against her, trust me I'm normally a really well-behaved kid. She's too crazy to like. Stuff is cooling down though, and oddly enough I realized the other day that the whole semester is going by really really quickly, and the class is half over! yahoo!! I can deal with her for just that much longer, totally.

That sucks. Did you at least have a nice restful spring break?

I know, writing is so much easier than speaking spanish, dontcha think? Like I can say it and it's not like it takes me a really long time to figure out the words or anything, but it's just simpler to write. Less stress and you can go back and fix the "le"s and "ya" and all that to be before stuff afterwards if you forget.

Well, I do think that everyone in America should be able to speak English, but the thing is that that just totally doesn't mean people can't speak and learn other languages. Why be so closed minded? Learning a second language is a really cool experience that really actually even does teach you about english more than you'd think and all that stuff too.

Actually, I don't think she gave me a grade for it after all, but she did give me the assessments of my performance that the class made, and that was pretty interesting. Most of them were really good. A surprising number of them said I didn't have very good control of the class though, which is odd, cuz I didn't feel that way at all.

Coolz ^^ I didn't have much homework at all over the weekend either, which is double good, cuz I was at the AD state competition the whole time...which actually means that I had a lot of downtime I could've done it in, but I wouldn't've wanted to.

and if I'd had a lot of homework I might not've gone, and then my friend in there, Derek, probably wouldn't've asked me out. I have an awesome boyfriend, I'm so excited!! Squee! ♥♥♥

Blah. Spanish class sucks. Love the language, don't really like the class. the oral point system is stupid. And I realized over the weekend that the amount I speak in Spanish is directly related to how comfortable I feel at the moment, and I always feel sorta uptight in there, and I think that's because I'm so afraid of making mistakes because I feel like I have a reputation to protect.

I know I do that too! Except at school I'll go ahead and translate it for them so they don't get really annoyed or think I'm a freak or something, but at home I'll just talk really slow and see if they can pick up on the cognates.

Exactly. Know what matters and what doesn't. Actually though, stuff is kind of cooling off between me and her I think, so that's good. Arguing is so much fun, but in almost a masochistic way, you know? Awesome and mentally stimulating as it is, peace is just kinda better. I like mellow.

Yeah, I did it and it went pretty well sort of. I was really nervous and charades didn't go very well, but I improvised a modified-to-be-relevant-to-the-lesson version of silent ball and that worked pretty well.

lol 2.5? Well buena suerte! Ha, apparently I'm in a Spanish mood today, which is actually kinda sad, cuz I actually had spanish class ayer, and then I couldn't focus on it at all. Like, we did stuff I normally wouldn't mind, but I just kept going "I don't want to think!"

Turns out it really really isn't a speech class. Everyone calls it that but it actually is a lot more about communication in everyday life than speech. Of course, I've heard it's more about speeches if you have a dif teacher, so maybe my class is just like that because Dulaney is too dumb to do anything but to go by the book and the book is communication, not speech.

Ironically enough though, I'm probably going to end up accomplishing through this class what I'd originally set out to, back when I thought it was more about speech; I'm gaining confidence. Today she was being like super uber double crazy, and I don't even want to get into that conversation, but in the end she gave me the personal assignment to read ch5 by myself and then teach it to the class. I'm going to refuse to do it if she doesn't give me extra credit or make the whole class do it, cuz otherwise that's just not fair, but I have to admit, I'm psyched. I'm so gonna show her up!

That's cool. I've gotten 4s (best) on both of the writing TAKS tests I've taken, and I think 2 or 3 is average ^^ And last time I took one it was seventh grade, and I got a 2 on every single paper except one that we wrote in my english class that whole year XD

Yeah, always good to know before you dive into something like that, even if you'd do it regardless of actual EC amount. Yeah, actually I meant both of those. She had us sew a stuffed mole as in the mammal that lives underground because it's a joke about mol like the measurement.

lol that's cool. All my younger siblings are really mad that I want to go far. Like, hurt, kinda. They all want me and Ben (older brother) to stay really really close and visit every weekend or something but I'm just like "I'm touched that you care, but sorry" Seriously, it's sweet, really it is, but no. They really will enjoy my absence though, because when I move out they'll all have their own room for the first time ever.

I wouldn't really call it "beliefs." That's like saying I think pointlessness is morally wrong, and it does bug the crap out of me more than just about anything else in the world, but still, belief? idk.

IIRC I have done that once ever before, and it was during one class period late in the year of a bizarrely similar class to this one I took in 8th grade, just less subjective. Of course, that teacher, though a creepy huge lesbo coach, at least had some self respect even through her repetitive and weak arguments, and didn't threaten to write me up or call my mom. But then again, maybe she should've though. I was a lot more offensive and to blame on that one. No respect though. That class didn't care about anything, my argument didn't apply to them, they didn't hate Coach Smith as much as everyone hates Mrs. Dulaney, and my reputation by then had been long since established as the nerdy girl who drew.

You like having a little miss angel record? That's always bothered the heck out of me. Mostly though, because I feel like it's wrong. I usually stay way out of trouble, but that's uber boring, and I feel like I'm darker on the inside, more sarcastic than people realize.

Oh yeah, I get what you're saying about them trying to talk to you to. If you don't know them you'd just rather them leave you alone.
