The woman rarely worries about anything. Like her all pirates she loved rum and any kind alcohol. Christina is able to take charge of her crewmembers very easily most of the time. Many are still puzzled at how she convinced them and took control at the beginning. Christina is single-minded and extremely focused. She may seem unlady-like fey, foolish, and inept, but Captain Johnson is a deeply complex woman who loves her precious freedom. Not much gets by her. Christina is ever watchful and observant, both of her environment and human nature. With each setback, she finds a way to get back on track. Christina is a confident captain and that is why so many respect her. Physical Description: She has very tan Caribbean skin, over the past years; Christina has gotten quite a lot of injuries, ranging from bullet wounds to swords stabs. Most of them were not bad enough to leave that nasty of a scar. Christina has an average height, roughly five foot seven. She would appear shorter, but she has excellent posture. Good posture, people always told her, is its own reward. She is comfortably thin, with slightly defined muscles in her arms, legs and abdomen. Christina is quite a beautiful young woman, however she doesn’t see herself as anything out of the ordinary as far as her appearance goes. She has a fine bone structure, which gives her the appearance of being slim and graceful. Most of the time, Christina is far from graceful or elegant. She wears layers upon layers of black Kohl under her eyes. Despite her eating habits and her extreme love of whiskey and rum, she manages to keep a steady figure, perhaps because she is a very active individual. Attire: Most of the time, Christina wears her white linen shirt that is has a slight open hanging shirt front, that sometimes shows her bust, which is loosely tucked into a tight, warn dark brown vest. If the weather outside is cold or raining she wears her dirty, black waistcoat To match this ensemble, she also wears her black breeches that are loosely tucked into a pair of fancy, knee-high, brown bucket top boots. Christina usually ties a dust-purple silk sash, which she stole from an Officer of the Royal regiment, around her lovely trim waist and looks pirate with her leather belt over it and a pistol stuck in it. On her head she wears her tri-cornered hat. Weapons (If applicable): Over the years, Christina’s weapons ranged from cutlasses and axes to oriental throwing knives. Now she usually uses her trusty swords and flintlocks, and occasionally a knife or dagger. And of course, she'll never go anywhere with out her trusty pistol. Abilities: She is an expert ship-stealer and looter. Her sword-fighting and gun skills are above average for a normal pirate. In fights, whether they are with other pirates or normal citizens, Christina will always cheat. History: Christina was born to Matthew Johnson, a high officer of the East Indian trading company, and to Lady Catherine Lane. From the age of three, she was educated and raised properly until the age of 16. She developed an interest in maps and sailing, and began to become extremely rebellious. A year later, Johnson ran away from her home after an argument between her parents. Christina secretly began working as a cartographer (disguising as a man) in a little town near London and managed to commission The Osiris on her own. Cartography was not an easy job; it required an education to start with and intensive training in map-making. She would also have learned to use the sword as part of her early training. Christina was an educated woman. Her manner of speech, even when slurred, is precise, marking her as one of the wealthier classes and explaining his ease with higher society. How and why she chose to become a pirate is a matter of speculation. Certainly, she is self-educated in the ways of piracy. Christina has visited several countries and experienced several different cultures. After a year of becoming a pirate, she had made the mistake of giving out her family name which resolved to enemies murdering her family. The same day, she vowed to continue pirating to gain revenge on the mysterious pirates who has killed the ones she had loved. She had started to work much harder after that, seeking higher ranks on pirate ships then just a plain old crew member. Soon later, she had joined Edward Teach's (aka.Blackbeard) ship, The Queen Anne's Revenge as a lowly crew member and soon made her way up to be his first mate. There had been a competition between three other crew members on who should get the job. The game was to burn brimstone inside the brig of the ship, and the last one to stay in the room receives the job. The losers were thrown over board... No one ever found out that she had stuck wax plugs up her nose to prevent the smoke from polluting her lungs. Although female, Blackbeard respected her like a man. She has even stuck up to him, regardless of him being named 'the devil of the sea's'. After two years of serving as Blackbeard's first mate, the attack of the navy came to the Queen Anne and they were only after one thing. The bounty of Blackbeard’s head... That was also around the time where she had found out her own captain was behind the death of her family. So while a man by the name of Norrington was defending his life by sword point with Blackbeard, she took this to her advantage to shoot Blackbeard in the back with her pistol. The last words he ever uttered was 'Why?' and her only reply to him was 'Because you destroyed the only things that made me human...'. Seeing much honor in this pirate, young James Norrington thanked her graciously for saving his life. Still bound by law, though, he was support to brand her a pirate. So instead of branding her in the forehead where it is more noticeable, he had branded her in the arm and set her free. Her return to the Queen Anne only rewarded her with becoming its captain, after a vote between a slimy dirt bags nicknamed 'rat' and herself. She was the successor. (She treated the crew very well, while maintaining to keep their respect) After two year's of captaining the Revenge, Rat made it so she mutinied off, by threatening the crews 'Manly hood' on taking orders from a woman...She was then marooned with nothing but the clothes on her back, a pistol, a sword, and a bottle of rum. The island happened to be a tribal Island where she apparently killed a snake with a boy seeing her, he brought her to the tribe where he had told them the snake story in over exaggerated detail and they nicknamed her the 'Naga Slayer" which means snake slayer. She was warrior for a day, but she didn’t understand a thing they said and assumed they made her their chief... the tribe was where Christina met Aereanne, a native woman, who wanted to join her crew when she goes after the revenge. Though Christina didn’t trust her at first, she did after a couple months... But that got her into receiving a very small boat, where she was then stuck on for four weeks until she found land, with nothing but pomegranate seeds which she got sick of, a bottle of half empty rum, and a water sack. SHIP STATUS Flag: Coal black with the Edward England Jolly Roger Name: The Queen Anne's Revenge Age: 40 Appearance/description: Dark Chestnut wood. White sails. Typically she is three-masted, but square-rigged only on the fore and main mast (the first two masts). On the mizzen-mast, or the last mast, it is gaff-rigged; the sails run along the length of the ship, instead of the width. She's quite heavily ornamented, and carries a lot of canvas. The stern castle and forecastle are tall structures with two or more decks. The quarterdeck was elaborately decorated with wooden statues and allegorical figures, running the length of the quarterdeck as far as the mainmast. Equipment: Built light and strong structured her would go fast. The Revenge had at least two gun decks, plus an excess of oars driven by probably 60-80. She is a galleon warship - about 150 feet long and more than 50 feet at the beam, she could carry up to 638 men - Even a ship this size could be piloted by a fairly small skeleton crew. Race: Pirate ship most of the time disguised as a British vessel Weakness: It is really hard to stop when on full speed so it has to be operated by a skilled person. |
