Well, I haven't either, which is why I get inconsistency problems. I couldn't tell the styles you tried were that radically different.

In reply to the post on my thread. You have talent. I can tell that your in to computers by looking at your art work. And your head can get scary sometimes, I shudder to think of all the goes on in there. Your style is one of many tricky trades, I to have tried many times and failed miserably at that type of art work. It's purely your uniqueness that gives you that trait.

Here's the dreaded article that I found out about our beloved alien

Three years ago, Nickelodeon cancelled the popular cult series, Invader ZIM, leaving fans angry and bitter towards the #1 kids network. But after the phenomenal sales of the first two ZIM DVDs, the upcoming action figures by Palisades toys, and the outcry of fans, Nick is bringing ZIM back from the dead. Production has already begun on season three of Invader ZIM. Jhonen Vasquez, the madman behind the series, will not be onboard this time around. Nick president Herb Scannell says that the series 'takes an all-new approach' next year, with all-new characters, such as Dib's baby brother, Gib, Zim's girlfriend Zee, and a mysterious group known as 'The Resisty' Everyone's favorite robot, GIR, will also have a new voice this season, by Spongebob himself, Tom Kenny. The animation style will take a dramatic change, animated by Klasky-Csupo, whose talents can be seen on other Nick shows, such as Rugrats and As Told by Ginger. Amanda Bynes makes a guest apperance as a new girl in Zim's class that Dib falls for. The new season, which begins next November, will debut with the episode 'friend or foe' in which Zim and Dib start to realize they have a lot more in common than once thought. Could they possibly become friends? Yep, I feel the same about Monet (the "french" thing was just sort of a joke...) But you're exactly right - his work IS blah. It just lacks the colors and contrasts that I've come to love and hold as a personal standard in paintings. Renaissance period really does it for me - I could stare at those masterpieces for eternity, and never fully comprehend them. There's just something "alive" about them. But new-age and impressionist art simply fails to push my button. Yeah, perhaps they've discovered new techniques and mediums, but it too often fails to captivate the viewers imagination, other than to induce a comment like "Oh, that's different..."

But your art is great. I Loved that turtle. I've done some plotting myself in art class once, and know the pains of it - the patience and self-discipline that you must've exercised, in order to complete such a titanic task, is in itself alone a rather commendable quality. My plot work was only a section of the project ('twas a 6 section picture, each one done in a different medium). I cannot see myself doing something as expansive as what you did - that requires more patience than I wil ever probably have (for drawing anyways... not for music, as I am a musician/songwriter/producer, and can jam all day long... :-)

Okay, I must say that your comments about people of Gothic nature are quite inadequate. The people of our society tend to make assumptions based on a person's appearance, and you appear to be one of them. Gothic people are not the only people in the world who slit their wrists. A while ago, I slit my wrists, and I was not Gothic. I am not Gothic, but I continue to find that I have much in common with the people of that "group".
