Red-Handed

Miry fingerprints engrave
one’s lovely fable.
It burns any thought
of revival by morning.
 
Smear the past
with your index finger
and soil the best
of our final moments.
 
For I’ll still see the marks,
they remain in the ashes.
 
Gloves work wonders,
until stains soak through cotton
and schemes scar your skin.
 
Clearing your record
is not an option.
I’ve read your palm so many times,
it’s on the back of my hand.

A Little Bit More About Me
I consider myself to be currently a better writer than artist, though I am strong in most creative hobbies. I’ve won more awards for being an artist, but I’m more recognized as a writer by the people who know me. I consider myself to be on par with the top poetry writers in school, but I lack in the essay department. I believe that I am very skilled in html, layout design, and computer programs, though I know I have a lot to learn. I am probably one of the top web designers in my school, but that is not much to say because there are less than ten that I know of. I believe that I have a very good voice, though I crack and choke when others are listening.
 
My abilities take me down just when I reach the top.

A Personality Analysis
I am probably the sanest person you will ever meet. I know a lot of people say they are the craziest person, but I am the sanest person, or at least in my mind. Here are some things that people may mistake for craziness. I am spontaneous, outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, loud, witty, and quick. I am also an original and creative thinker, which you probably already know, since this is an art site. I’m a pretty deep person when I’m in the mood. Even though I smile at the world whenever I get the chance and laughter is usually the first noise that you hear around me, I am a fighter at heart. I’ve learned to control myself, though, and my life is better because of it. My fighting spirit still hangs around my personality, however. People who know me tend to back away when I get serious and I wouldn’t blame them. I am usually the leader in anything that I do mainly because I have pretty bad trust issues, but I am trying to get over them. I may or may not get over the leader aspect, though. I would probably be a good politician or lawyer because I am a leader and a sneaky fox, but stress does not agree with me. I’m carefree about most things, or at least I present an image that I am. I like to comfort others who I feel deserve to be comforted, which sometimes takes away from comforting myself. I also tell it strait and tough to people who deserve nothing and whom I feel just want to be praised, but put on a humble persona. After all of this, I still feel very sane next to everyone around me.
