WOAH!!!!! I really got sidetracked! O_O NEwayz, I learned how 2 draw YGO faces simply by watching the show. ^^'
I used references when I first started drawing them. So basically, experience is needed 2 do this sort of thing. I've been drawing YGO for almost five years. 2 help ya, I suggest practicing using references, and watching closely how the facial expressions 'n' junk R like. ^^'
In case U haven't noticed, the YGO show has different styles of character art each episode, and the styles cycle over and over again. ^-^ Just pick one, and stick with it. O_~

the stuff i used where ink pens, a marker and watercolor pencils.

im too untalented to use markers effectively.

wolf anthro otaku doesnt seem to have problems with it though.

Sooo.. my question is... if you know his name is Ren (and then Horo-Horo... Manta... Tamao... those names) why do you still call him Len?
It's the stupid dub name and I even have a petition against it XD I mean.. after all.. they kept it Ren in the manga.
