I used regular paint as my program on the pic. of me but when you wand to do shadowing just look at an anime pic. and see how they either make the colors lighter or darker depending on the thing or the color of the item. good luck and thx for the nice comments =^_^=

Well, my favourite software is Adobe Photoshop CS which is the last and latest version. My second favourite is Corel Painter 8, now there's the new Painter 9. I recommend Photoshop coz it's more simpler and more friendlier for new colourists/artists. To use Painter, you must have tablet, it's like a computer mouse but you use it like a pen.
