All you really need to do for your entry is:

1. Make it a comic form, only a one pager please D:
2. Make sure they're in chibied form, makes it alot easier 3. and shorter =D
4. Make your OC as bullshitted as possible
5. Does not have to be colored, bet that gave you a huge relief

... basically just read the rules, over at where I posted the contest pic. I might upload an example so people get where I'm getting at.

1.First I normally draw outlines with pencil.
2.Then when pencil outlines are ready,I take a outliner-pen(0.4) or thin marker(but seldom that,I prefer outliner) and draw outlines again with it.
3.I erase those pencil outlines,so now the work should look clean.
4.I scan that work.
5.Then I begin coloring it on Paint(if that pic's format is JPEG,I change it to PNG,so it's much easier to color with Paint)and I use Photoshop CS3 to do all what Paint can't do(shiny eyes etc)
Oh and I often do "duotone" on Photofiltre before coloring.
And..That's it :D
