Oh man, you wouldn't believe how hard that pose was to get right. Well, the legs were the worst. That wasn't very easy trying to get them facing in the directions they should be. >_< But I think I got it. She looks awfully mischievous, doesn't she? Oh great. Now I am rambling. The answer to your scanner question is to simply turn the contrast up a bit on your scanning program, that will brighten the colors and make what would normally be a greyish bg into a nice bright white.
