Chapter 1 - Journey
Journey
Far upon the rocky shore
Is a place for the eyes to adore
Carved in the rocky cliffs
By each waves' gentle kiss
The rock is worn and old
And holds stories not yet told
Walking along the sandy beach
Is the one I beseech
With a beauty unsurpassed
That drives me home so fast
With a face that shines like the morning sun
Is the invisible force that drives my body to run
To hold her in my arms drives me still further
To strive to be hers' no matter the weather
The night encloses the sky
But it does not stop my urge to fly
Fly to the one who walks by the shore
Why oh why am I so thwarted
To meet the one that my heart has reported
Reported to be mine forever
I ask God above
To lead me to my love
But he replies that love must succeed in this task
The task to have what I've asked
Still my heart beats more
With every pounding wave upon the shore
I see walking on the beach
And I know my goal is almost in reach
As I see the maiden so fair
I seem to ride on the heavenly air
And onward I drive my body
Through the clouds of the sky
Till at last I can lay my head upon her breast
And it is there that I shall forever rest
