Chapter 1 - Contained

Time always just seems to pass us by

Life is both a blessing and a curse

I doubt we will ever know why

Looking back, things could have been worse.

Time does not wait for anyone

To see beyond really takes some wits

The truths I believe are close to none

I'll never understand until it hits.

Seeing it all happen this way

I have got nothing but sorrow

I hope that I'll be able to stay

Live past today, and still see tomorrow.

This is a Quatrain poem, which means that each section has to be four lines, and the first and third, second and fourth lines have to rhyme. For this poem I used 8 to 10 syllables in each line, and it's a lot harder to do than it sounds. I'm surprised this only took me about 10 minutes to do. Oh, by the way I was working on Kiako High School chapter 6, and I got about a page and a half done, but I realized that I haven't even thought out that chapter yet and I was just kinda writing down random crap, so I'll get back to that once I have a better idea. I'm probably just gonna write some more poems as they come to mind, and I apologize if you don't understand the poem or it doesn't make sense, but hey, a lot of famous poets had poems that made no sense….anyway…yeah, guess I'm back now..^.^
