Chapter 1 - Silence
Silence.By: Jill
SilenceDreadful silenceThe air reeks of deathThe ghosts of those murderedhang tight around our throatsand we cannot breathe. They sit quiet and wait for usto join them in their eternal unrest.A gun shot rings. Two down from mein this, the judgeing lineis a pale, quivering man.He holds the lifeless bodyof a child.A single tear finds his cheekthen the last of his life lightleaves his eyes. All we can do is lie here.In our shame, our filth.I watch my fellowswaste away. And I can do nothing. So we diein the silence. In the painof the dreadful silence. Another poem by me.Watcha think?Comments
