It can be used in other ways, but I think this person can figure out that it's for them. Anyway, this is one of the first poems I've done that satisfy me. Here we go, then..

Chapter 1 - Wish
Once upon a time
We sat under the stars
Your hand in mine
Together
Side by side
To you then I whispered
The burden of my heart
I shared all the things
I feared would tear us apart
I told you much
In such a short time
About praying for you
Until I cried
And cry I did
Into unsettled sleep
Dreaming again
Not of pain nor bliss
Just somewhere inbetween
It's your name I whisper
To the One I call King
In the stillness
For your safety I ask
And that someday you'll see
That someone called Jesus
Loves you just as much
As He's always loved me
After this long
In prayer for you
My spirit sometime shakes
And My hope sometimes breaks
Yet I shall always keep faith
I'll keep on praying
That someday you'll see
But until then
I'll just keep whispering your name
Quietly to the One I call King
