Chapter 1 - Nightmare Comfort (MacTai)
It was nighttime when Macau and Taiwan were just about doing their bedtime routine together after a day of fun, shopping, dining and checking out a show. Soon after putting on their pajamas they climbed into bed with Taiwan picking out what movie they would watch together which to Macau he didn’t mind since he feels that he would enjoy it as much as she does and once the movie was over it was time for them to settle in for the night
During the dead of night the Macanese man was sound asleep, but Taiwan on the other hand was tossing and turning as if she was dealing with something horrible moaning and groaning on what’s happening
“Mmmmmmm…..no….please don’t…..” said Taiwan as she was whimpering in her sleep until she couldn’t take it anymore that she woke up yelling
“LEAVE ME ALOOOONEEEE!!!!”
The sudden yelling woke up Macau as he turns on the light, then proceeds to find his glasses, and once he sat up Taiwan crawled over to his side of the bed crying her eyes out
“Macauuuuuuuu” said Taiwan as she was snuggling in Macau’s lap as he proceeds to wipes her tears away
“It’s all right now, My Dear you just had a nightmare” said Macau as he gently gives her a hug and then pats her head
“But it seemed so real” whimpered Taiwan as she was getting all comfortable in his lap which gave Macau an idea
“How about I make you warm you up a glass of warm milk. Would you like that?”
Taiwan slowly nodded as she shifts a bit so that Macau can move out of bed putting on his slippers and gets his robe so he can go to the kitchen to prepare something so that he make her the drink that would help her go back to sleep and maybe talk about the nightmare she had
It wasn’t long till Macau came back with a mug of warm milk that he soon sets it on the table so he can climb into bed and then Taiwan soon nestles into his lap while he gives her the mug while gently stroking her hair
“You know Taiwan you shouldn’t let the nightmare get to you since after all they’re just images in her head”
“I know but still it felt so real” said Taiwan as she slowly drinks from her mug “But you know I am glad that you were with me just like when we were young”
Macau gives a soft chuckle remembering it when they were still living with China as children
“I know and how you used to run into my room, climbed under the covers and you woke me up while you still in tears” said Macau as he goes on “But remember that these things are nothing to worry about”
Taiwan nods as she keeps drinking the mug that soon she began to feel sleepy while Macau was still talking to her, but it wasn’t long till she fell asleep on him which he gave a soft smile that he soon takes away the empty mug from her hand placing it on his nightstand, then he moves Taiwan into a comfortable position, then he finally makes himself comfortable, putting his glasses on the nightstand, and turns off the light so that they can sleep better now that is until Taiwan wanted to snuggle with Macau which he does to keep her safe and sound
