Chapter 1 - In My Mind
Chapter 1 - In My Mind
I'm standing on the edge of eternity;
The starry sky is spread out before me,
It's a view without parallel.
While my mind is consumed in wonder,
My heart sighs as if under
A blissfully peaceful spell.
Where the universe has ended, or maybe begun
Then suddenly, and without hesitation,
I take that final stride.
As space rushes past, I feel a slight chill
With everything swirling, yet standing quite still
As I start falling off the side.
And as I fall to an endless deep,
I feel at peace, a gentle sleep,
And the world just fades away.
It's here that all the worries disappear,
It's here where vanish all my tears,
And it's here I want to stay.
And with stars and space now surrounding,
I can see the Endless below me
And can feel the Forever above.
Because now my destiny's calling,
And I think I'm okay with falling,
Because I know I'm just falling in love.
