Chapter 1 - Hurt
Chapter 1 - Hurt
It happens all the time.
I should know by now not to feel
this way, not to feel.
Again and again my life repeats.
My eyes are red.
Tears shed.
They think its a game
and ask me if I was doing the same.
I look down for a moment,
worrying them.
Then I look back up,
smiling.
Theres no hurt in my eyes.
Not yet.
I smile and nod and ask,
Arent I a good actress?
And they smile and nod as well,
relieved that I lied
instead of cried.
They might not see the hurt inside,
but when I turn away,
when he turns away,
I let it out.
I cry until there are no tears left inside.
