“My Life”


I will never tell
How all my life I’ve been in hell
Pain and tears of unspoken fears
Will never escape these lips

You’ve beat me down
And told me off
Yet you don’t understand
What else I’ve been through

Life is not easy for many of us
And you are making things worse
Just leave me alone
Quit telling me what I lack

I’m sorry I can’t be all you’ve wished
But I’ve lost my soul in a dark abyss
Since no one has cared or shared
The love and kindness I asked for

So hide me
While I slit my wrists
And mourn in darkness all my life
With pain and anger consuming me
