Chapter 1 - Tears

A short, sad poem I wrote for fun. That's it.

Chapter 1 - Tears

Chapter 1 - Tears
Tears: A poem by Aidan Aenima

Crying is a mysterious thing,
So let’s start with a tear
Is it a liquid drop of water?
Or a drop of liquid fear?

If you listen just closely enough
You may just find someone
Someone crying, softly
No matter how tough

Man, mortals, and all of our lot
We have one weakness
We have one strength
They are both only thoughts

Because in one moment of your life
Everything can change
For better or worse
It will rearrange

Though back on our liquid
That drops from our eye
Why does it exist
When we have to cry

I think from my life
The conclusion I’ve came upon
Is it is our sadness
In a drop that falls down on

Our body as we
Can no longer cry
For our emotions want to
For they cannot die

The darkness we feel inside
How empty it may be
The sadness it will fill you
And it won’t turn to glee

For this sadness that lingers in you
It will not stop without a fight
For it is an immortal pain
That may take away your life’s light

As you look upon the ground
Your emotion taken in
You cannot escape
The sadness within

You cannot escape
The burning guilt
The burning darkness
The burning fight

You may wish for pain
You may wish for light
You may wish for death
To simply end your plight

Though all you can do
Is cry
A drop of water
Known as
A tear

oceanfantasiesInteresting, the tempos kind of change with some of the verses, but that doesn't take away from the great ideas in this poem.  Great work!
