I'm not too sure about this. I mean, if you travel back in time, and you meet with your past self, wouldn't this cause some sort of problem? I mean, seeing how one becomes in the future usually affects decisions made in the time span between now and then, thus changing the future and affecting the future self. Plus, if you consider the fact your meeting your future self is not something you remember in the past, then it would stand to reason blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...I think I'm having a brain-freeze...
Naruto: Where did you get the time machine, anyway?
Kisame: From the future.
Naruto: ...how did you get to the future?
Kisame: With the time machine.
Naruto: But, you didn't have a time machine until you got it from the future.
Kisame: Right. Which is why we went back in time to give it to ourselves.
Naruto: But how did you get to the future in the first place?
Kisame: By giving ourselves the time machine that we acquired after going into the future to get a time machine to give it to ourselves! IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND???
