So, another Preview Week come and gone. Things tend to come in threes, so I think this may be my last Preview Week. (Unless I have some REAL news next year.)
The Q&A was a dud, so once again, thanks for being such a vocal and friendly group of watchers, guys. (I mean that in the most humorous way possible, really. I get that the concept may not have been well conceived. Still, it is lonely listening to the crickets chirp over here.)

So, what I'm left with is E3 itself. I can't quite imagine what surprises might be in store, just as last year I never would have expected a Mario Maker or something like Hyrule Warriors. Nintendo's stark raving nuts, and that always makes for a good show at any rate.

I'm hoping to see the upcoming Sonic games a little, but I think I already heard that Sega wasn't going to be at E3 from somewhere.... But those upcoming Sonic games are Nintendo exclusives again. Hmmm... And is it wrong that I'm more excited for Mario & Sonic than Sonic Boom? Hey... maybe my Sonic amiibo will actually be useable in a Sonic game...

Speaking of amiibos, I get that people are frustrated over them, but... seriously, get over it! You don't NEED amiibo! Don't pay the scalpers, dummies! I wanted Pit, but I'm not dumb enough to pay a scalper... I also wouldn't mind some Fire Emblem character or other. It should also be noted that the truly rare figures, for the most part, have very limited functions anyway. I don't get the rage...unless you're actually letting yourself buy into the rare figures. In which case, it's your own fault, really. Honestly... I got ALL the way to 100% (well, 99%) in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, and I didn't have no Meta Knight or King Dedede. You don't NEED it. Kirby? He's common. Still, you could manage without Kirby, too.
I didn't want to get into an amiibo tirade there, but I get sick of people accusing Nintendo of underhanded sales tactics when honestly, they are far better than the makers regular figure-based games and regular freemium games. In those cases, you HAVE to spend, spend, spend. I haven't put a cent into Pokemon Shuffle or Pokemon Rumble World. I'm at Rank 46 in Rumble, doing just fine in Shuffle.

OK, back to E3. Smash Bros. is still casting its inescapable shadow over things for the third year in a row. Not sure what to expect Sunday, I kinda hope for new stages or tournament mode to be announced. We need something to actually DO with these characters and costumes. I don't know about everyone else, but my attention span is not what it was 10 years ago.

Now, as for things I'd LIKE to see... I want to see plot details for Star Fox... even if it's just confirmation on who'll make up the cast. (is this a reboot? will Krystal be there? what about Star Wolf?) I also kinda agree with the world that Metroid needs to come back now. Side note: yes, I'll only be watching Nintendo. The rest of the gaming universe is essentially dead to me... However I may peruse the internet for any news regarding Kingdom Hearts 3... Otherwise titled The Game That You Only THINK Is Coming. But that's too long. I'd like a US release date for Yoshi's Wooly World (because why everywhere else and not here??) and for god's sake, Nintendo, give us something beyond Mario games, DLC and amiibos. I don't know. Another sequal to Pokemon Coliseum. Luigi's Mansion 3. WarioWare DIY 2. Kid Icarus 4. Super Waluigi Land!! Give us SOMETHING cool!! (I get the irony that I can't think of much beyond Mario spin offs either, but at least those wouldn't be NSMB, DKC, or another platformer... well, I don't know WHAT a Waluigi game would be lol)

I might finally get a PS4 this year since Batman Arkham Knight is coming out. But then... to dust off the chestnut people keep using to say about the Wii U, I don't really wanna buy a system for just 2 games! I REFUSE to buy M rated garbage. Refuse. Warp your own brains. And I HATE sports. The Mario & Sonic games are an odd exception...I very much wish they were something else, but I take 'em. I hear Ratchet & Clank is getting rebooted, so that turns me off on that series... PS4 really don't look good to me right now.

So, that's it for now. In my mind, Nintendo always wins E3, and you can't tell me otherwise.
My stories will resume their regular schedule after Father's Day, so be on the lookout for the next chapter of GeneX - Knuckles the Echidna!
