Star Wars - X-Wing: Solo Command
I thought Solo Command was about Han Solo... So far the narrative is rather boring. It's all war stuff without getting into the actual details of the battle or developing the characters properly. Or maybe it's because these are characters that never could catch my attention. It might be good for Ackbar and Wedge fans, but to me they're just supporting characters. It was the same situation with Kyle from Soldier for the Empire, but even if Kyle wasn't a very developed character (in the first story at least) he was easy to imagine, while the characters of Solo Command all seem to fade into anonymity, they just don't stand out. So an hour into this Han finally looks like he's going to have a part in it aside from simply having his name looking unfitting in the title of someone else's story. Even so I don't see any real solo action in the future, it's more about boring war procedures and I'm less interested in Solo Command than in Darth Plagueis, which is saying plenty. Unless Han Solo takes the lead and does something cool, this story is not worth much. Either way, Han would still have taken far too long to show up. Did I mention that Han's tone completely escape the narrator? I'm not expecting actual voice acting, but the tone needs to be more cocky or it doesn't feel like Han.

Star Wars - X-Wing: Solo Command
Solo still has only small scenes... I'm past the half point so I'm not expecting him to do much in this story. Wedge has a bit more of a part but still... The story is okay, but I was expecting something that was about Han. If I had expected an extras story, rather than a main character story, I think it would have gone better... I think I'll go into the next one without expectations.
