Corpse Party

Chapter 2

Finished chapter 2 of Corpse Party, the multitude of dead ends killed the plot. I had to reply annexes several times which ultimately made me feel disconnected from the story. Ch 2 wasn't as good as 3 though the connections between the two were good. I guess it's because I didn't find the possession prone girl to be as interesting as the girl who managed to make jokes between horror scenes & was brutally honest. The story of the friendship & teasing between the first 2 seemed more genuine, while the connection between the ch 2 mains didn't seem quite as well done. It felt like a rushed crush over something silly at best & totally one sided unlike the trust & friendship of the 2 mains from ch 1. The endings were different in more than just a few minor details, but replaying scenes without fast forward trying to unlock more chapters is still annoying. On to chapter 3...

Chapter 3

Finished Corpse Party ch 3 but I missed 1 name tag. I'll get it later if it turns out I need it to unlock the extras. It was an ok chapter but there are only 5 & there's still a lot to be resolved... I have the sequel but that's supposed to be extra stories. On a random note why did the cute one have to go insane? Pity... I'll continue Corpse Party tomorrow, its late & I don't want to stop in the middle of a chapter.

Chapter 4

Playing chapter 4. As the story goes it started to feel too crowded. There were a lot of characters to begin with so only a little background for each. I prefer the abandoned and lost feel of the first chapter, though the others seem to be full of trying too hard cliches. If only it didn't have to many dead ends I might have been able to focus on the story itself, rather than focus on triggering sufficient scenes to be able to move on. Overall it's okay so far. I'm still on ch 4, almost done with that one, though I might have to replay 3 for the one name tag I missed... After all the extras are unlocked and played, then I'll get started on Book of Shadows, the sequel to Corpse Party and then I'll go back to Class of Heroes 2... where I'm lost. The grinding is ironically not the problem this time around, I simply don't know where to go so I'm exploring and that takes time with my sense of direction.
