So I decided to do another contest but this one is kinda different. I don't know if it's a common contest but I know i'm not the only one who's going to do it. Ok let's give it a try:
So the contest is that I'm writing a story, a werewolf/thief/fantasy story to be exact and I've run into a problem. I don't have an exact look for my two main characters. This is bad. I've tried countless times to draw them and I've changed them I don't know how many times but I don't think it's working. The mission is I want someone to draw my characters for me. I'll give an excerpt from my story of what they look like. It's when they encounter each other. I'll most likely post my story on here eventually but I can't do that when I don't know what my characters look like. O.o So please help me in making my characters a reality. Here is my excerpt of when they meet. Their descriptions are in bold if you don't want to read everything:
Miyoko ran through the forest with excitement. The warm wind through her brown hair, the cool grass between her toes. Freedom at last. That prison of a castle wasn't going to hold her any longer.
"No more being a princess. I get to be me for once!" Miyoko screamed with joy. She ran into a small clearing of flowers. She sat down and picked a couple, bringing them up to her nose to smell their sweet fragrance. She got back up again and walked deeper into the forest. It got darker and darker the deeper she went in and soon she found out she was no longer on the trail.
"Maybe I should go back," she whispered to herself as she turned around. Rustling sounded not to far behind her. She quickly looked back. It was silent except for the birds chirping ahead of her. "Probably just an animal." Miyoko quickened her pace, nervously checking behind her every five steps. The rustling happened again but closer to her side now. Changing to a run, Miyoko darted for the sunlit area. She burst through the bushes into the light, panting heavily.
"It was probably all in my head," she laughed as she found the trail again. Suddenly arrows shot out with netting attached to them. They hit the trees over Miyoko's head and the netting trapped her against another tree. She screamed and slid to the ground tangled up in the netting. A group of grungy looking men stepped out of the brush and the trees snickering.
"Looks like we caught a pretty little mouse," said one of them walking forward to her. Miyoko's pale green eyes were wide with fright. She scooted back as far as the tree would let her. Her father had warned her of the thieves of the forest.
"Someone go get Taron, he'll want to see this," said a taller, more muscular one. A skinnier one ran off into the forest on some hidden trail.
"Oh don't be frightened little girl. At least not yet," laughed the muscular one. The others joined in with snickers and began to advance on her. Miyoko began to whimper. She closed her eyes and covered her head with her hands, hoping they wouldn't touch her.
"Hey doesn't she kinda look like the princess?" said a taller one with an unkept beard.
"You idiot, why would the princess be all the way out here in thief territory?" said the muscular one, slapping the taller one upside the head. They began to take off the netting. This made Miyoko panic. That was her only barrier between her and those horrible thugs. Once they got it off they began to grab her arms. She started kicking and screaming, tears streaming down her face.
"Don't touch her!" boomed a voice from behind. The thieves dropped her and stepped back immediately. A horse rode up into the clearing with a hooded figure atop. He jumped down from his horse and walked over to the girl, pulling back his hood. Miyoko looked up at the stranger. He was a tall man with shaggy black hair and a leader like presence about him. He bent down in front of her and looked her over. His face was sculpted perfectly, strong broad cheekbones, a long jawline, and a smoothly shaped nose. He was so handsome. But what caught Miyoko's attention were his misty grey eyes. They were absent of pupils and looked as if they went on forever, like fog.
He looked her over several times. 'Is this really the princess?' he thought. The princess was suppose to be eighteen now, a woman, but what he saw before him looked like a scared little girl. Her brown hair, loose from its clip, fell in long waves around her shoulders. Her pale green eyes full of fear. She was even more beautiful than he could remember. Her face was free of any kind of blemish and a smooth as silk. Her lips were a rosy red and perfectly shaped. The dress she was wearing was covered in dirt now and ripped at the sleeves from the earlier struggle with the thieves.
"What are you doing all the way out here little princess?" he asked.
"Why should I tell you?" she snapped back, trying to be brave. He laughed at her and gave a dazzling smile. Miyoko glared at him but soon her expression changed to surprise. As he smiled at her his eyes changed from the foggy grey to a beautiful golden ember. His eyes had pupils now but they did not look human, more like an animal's eyes. But just as quickly as they appeared they were gone.
"My name is Taron, won't you join us tonight? I believe your father wouldn't want you to return during the night," he laughed as he grabbed her arm, pulling her up.
"Let go of me! My father will kill you all when he finds that you've captured me," threatened Miyoko. Taron's expression changed from joking to serious in an instant.
"We'll see about that," he growled as he threw her atop his horse and got on behind her.
Well hope that wasn't too long for you. I bolded all the descriptions you need to know if you didn't feel like reading the story part. ^~ I don't blame you if you don't want to. It's not that interesting yet. So all in all this is what they look like:
Taron: shaggy black hair, tall, unbelievably handsome(jk) with misty foggy grey pupiless eyes. You can draw him with either the misty grey eyes or the golden ember eyes, your pick. ^^ Oh and his outfit I have no idea how it looks. I want you to be creative and create a worthy thief outfit of a fantasy werewolf story. ^^
Miyoko: long brown wavy hair, pale green eyes, pretty face, kinda young looking but not too much. I have no idea what her dress looks like. Go crazy and make something beautiful and princessy.
Now I don't expect you to draw the scene I just described. That was just to get their looks. You can draw the two however you want. They are in love later in the story so you could do something with that if you'd like. Also you get bonus points if you put in Taron as his wolf or werewolf form somewhere in the pic. You don't have to but it would be awesome, but the main part is that it's Taron and Miyoko. Now here are your prizes:
1st: 3 requests and I'll use your design when I draw them in the future and give you full credit for creating my wonderful characters. ^^
2nd: 2 requests and an honorable mention. ^~
3rd: 1 request and I give you a cookie for effort.(jk) ^~
So please join I need your help in creating these lovely characters. I think this is going to be a fun contest and I can't wait for your ideas!!! DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 17TH!!!! If you think you can't quite make that then I can extend it to the 20th but no later. I'll announce the winners on the 21st. ^^ If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll be glad to answer them. ^^ Oh and if you want to draw just one of them because you can't draw both that's fine but I'd prefer both, but if you can only draw one then please do. ^~
